Virginia Key Beach Museum

Virginia key beach for decades has been a place where people of African descent went for what has been described as social freedom during a time when people of color were disenfranchised and considered second class citizens. The Virginia key beach museum design competition required the open feeling of freedom be translated to the building program and to have international appeal. This project features multiple green-focused initiatives. The Virginia Key Beach Museum design team was lead by Aaris, in collaboration with Creative Front and Cross Winds Developers.
